MY STORYSince starting her own professional writing and film career in 2016, Bev Chukwu has been a strong believer in advocating for other writers. A few of the most powerful ways that she has chosen to achieve this has been through teaching and helping others develop their script projects.
Bev Chukwu’s passion for working with other writers has led her to provide coaching and teach classes for the Writers’ League of Texas and other non-profits. She is currently a development executive for the Pipeline Media Group, one of the top companies in the U.S. that provides script coverage and industry opportunities for emerging writers who submit to any of their competitors. This includes Script Pipeline and the First Look Project, two competitions that help writers connect to managers, agents, and producers.
Bev Chukwu has been an episode writer for New Sky Pictures, a company started by award-winning filmmaker Mike Akel and Felipe Adams, with credits including Independent Spirit Award Nominee, CHALK, and New Orleans Film Festival winner, AN ORDINARY FAMILY. She’s also worked with local and LA-based producers to push their projects to the next level by providing script coverage for greenlit film productions. Bev Chukwu has interned and provided script coverage for writers from LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE (2020), TO THE STARS (2019), and MIDNIGHT SPECIAL (2016).
